ABOUT

Ormewood Park’s Meet the Makers Festival:  Coming March 25, 2017!

Showcasing creativity and resourcefulness, the Makers in our upcoming festival are all about neighbor teaching neighbor. From artisans to mechanics to farmers, they will be of all ages and backgrounds, ready to share knowledge and skills, and collaborate with YOU!

OP’s Meet the Makers is a festival-style celebration of community creativity

Meet the Makers is a free, non-commercial, non-competitive, community-building event designed to provide an opportunity for people to gather, connect, and explore their creativity. A celebration of the Maker Movement, it’s a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness.

Our goal is to build community, and engage and excite attendees to explore their own capabilities, the DIY culture and possibly become makers themselves.

As a collaborative one-day festival, the community of Makers we’re creating will seek to achieve the vision of a connected community, empowered by creativity.

  • OUR MISSION is to celebrate, engage, and inspire the Maker in each of us

  • OUR GOAL is to inspire Atlanta to embrace tinkering and creation as paths to learning and innovation

  • OUR VISION is a day to celebrate the collective artistic endeavors of local homegrown talent

Get ready for hands-on experiences, live performances, and interactive demonstrations that will inspire your own creativity!

  • More than 20 hands-on workshops featuring local Makers

  • Artist market with live demos

  • Family and kids’ workshops

  • Live music performances

  • Food trucks

  • Beer provided by Eventide Brewing
